An announcement from the Tower Iron Works brings news of the appointment of Dick Muller '42 to the position of Chief Engineer. The Muller family, Dick, Lucille, Gail, and Stephen, are living in Barrington, R. I.

From Pusan, Korea, a letter has been received from John Fancher EE'53. John (Corporal) appears to be more impressed by his recent travels than by his present duties, whatever they may be. John informs us that Ken Strout CE'53 is now Pvt. Strout at Fort Dix, N. J.

Announcement has been received of the marriage of Elaine Elizabeth Beaty to HarleyTimbers '47 on December 26.

The following postings are to be noted in the Thayer School's Permanent Stork Derby:

Dec. 18, a daughter, Christine, to Professor and Mrs. Joseph Ermenc.

Dec. 19, a daughter, Jane Marion to the Bob Scheulkes. Bob is a second year TuckThayer student.

Dec. 24, a daughter, Catherine Marie, to Mary and Jim Kerley '43.

Recent visitors at the School were Jim Lyons CE'51 and Gordon Robertson TT'50. Jim has been transferred from the quartermaster corps unit in Pinkham Notch and appears to be anticipating the acquisition of a corporal's rating and permanent relief from K. P. Gordon and his wife were vacationing and searching for some skiing. Gordon is with the Ford Motor Company in Detroit.

John Muchmore '44 is now working for the S. D. Gas and Electric Company on a new steam generating plant scheduled to be finished in seven years. John belatedly announces the arrival in October of his fourth child and fourth daughter, Jane Langdon.

It is with profound regret that we have just learned of the passing on January 1st of JackMacdonald '14, to the inestimable loss of his family, his friends, and his profession.
