At our last Annual Meeting held May 1, Burt Anger '42 was elected President of the Association. On July 22 the Association held a Family Picnic at the summer home of Bob Zeiser '49. About 35 alumni, together with their wives and a large number of youngsters, attended and enjoyed swimming, badminton, croquet, and free beer, followed by a cook-out in the early evening.
Our first luncheon was scheduled on Thursday, September 21, at the University Club. That was the day that "Esther" first visited southern New England, so only four members showed up and had an enjoyable get-together, in spite of the weather. The second luncheon was held October 19 at the University Club and about 25 members were there to hear Pete McCarthy, Sports Publicity Director of Brown University, discuss the Ivy League' football situation for 1961.
Coming events include a Monte Carlo Night on December 1 to raise funds for our Arthur H. Ruggles Scholarship Fund and the Annual Undergraduate Luncheon at the University Club on December 28. Visiting alumni are always welcome.
A sizeable delegation was in Hanover on October 14 to witness the Brown-Dartmouth Game. They report a fine weekend and satisfaction with everything but the weather.
