March has been the busiest month the Dartmouth Club of Baltimore has had in some time. First, on Thursday night, March 18, we held our annual Ladies Night banquet at our Blackstone club rooms. This affair, always a highlight on our Club calendar, always well attended, was even more so this year. The reason: Justin Stanley, Vice President of the College, was our featured speaker. He did a magnificent job, and all Baltimore Dartmouth faithful, male and distaff alike, were delighted at our fortune in having Mr. Stanley for the occasion. Our honored guest speaker was introduced by his classmate, Page Worthington '33, and later spent such time as he could spare as the house guest of Jud McCarthy '26, our Alumni Council member.
Then, on March 23, we had the Glee Club here. We, 500 miles as we are from the College, were especially proud of packing nearly 1000 people into the Maryland Casualty Auditorium to hear this absolutely splendid concert. Paul Zeller, Director, deserves the greatest praise for the wonderfully disciplined choral group he brought to our town, and for coaxing the best out of 50 magnificent voices. All Maryland Dartmouth alumni are agreed that never has the College sent a finer Glee Club on tour. Don Mason Jr. '46, chairman for the concert, merits a great deal of praise for his efforts in turning out the tremendous audience he did.
