Mr. Katz spoke on "What Makes a Good Administrator" at a meeting of Western Massachusetts business executives in Springfield. He also led a discussion for the Credit Management Workshop at Arden House, Harriman, N. Y., and led a discussion on "Human Relations and Administration" at a conference of the National Association of Clinic Managers in Hanover.

Mr. Griswold attended a round-table discussion on institutional investment conducted by the New York Stock Exchange.

Mr. Olsen attended the annual meeting of the American Hospital Association and American College of Hospital Administration in Atlantic City and then spent three days at the University of Chicago as adviser to the School of Business Administration's program in hospital education.

Dean Upgren's recent activities included a talk on "The Outlook for Business and Banking" before the Savings Bank Association of Portland.

The executive committee of the Dartmouth Economic Research Council met in New York to discuss topics for its second year of operation under joint sponsorship of the Committee for Economic Development and the Tuck School. Attending were Charles F. McGoughran '20, Harry Chamberlaine T'22, HiltonCampbell T'22, Adolph Woolner, DexterBrooks T'49 and Mr. Broehl, Mr. Morton and Mr. Logan.

Mr. Logon and Mr. Katz were elected to membership in the Academy of Management.

The latest Tuck booklet, written by Mr.Katz, is entitled Developing Human Skill: Improving Administrative Effectiveness.

Marshall Clark T'48 has resigned from Benton & Bowles advertising agency to become director of advertising for the Scott Paper Company at Chester, Pa.

Dick Raphael T'55 has joined the Sylvania Electric Corporation at Waltham, Mass. He is working in an Operations Research Section

Tom Leomker T'53 is a trainee with Pitney-Bowes in Stamford, Conn.

Young & Rubicam has promoted GeorpeFarrand '33 to treasurer.

Jim Broderick T'47 is now manager of the Group and Pension Departments at the Bridgeport, Conn., office of the Aetna Life Insurance Company.

Robert C. Sanderson T'48 is president of Reif-Revoil, Inc., manufacturers of oil burners, furnaces, boilers and water heaters, at Buffalo, N. Y.
