Greetings again. Evidently the words of praise that I offered lip for all the letters and information I had been receiving was not the thing to do. The volume of incoming items has dropped faster than the stock-market of 1929. Fortunately this month's column must be short because of the publication of alumni contributions. But if things keep up this way, by next month I will just be able to tell you about the weather, Mayor Curley, and the use of low forceps to expedite delivery of the baby. That reminds me, your secretary is about to become a father again, which proves only that he has never been able to keep anything to himself. We are looking forward to our next year's exemption some time in February. All this in addition to a newly acquired house makes life interesting and expensive.
Bill Glovsky and I are still battling it out on the golf links and have reached the finals. Bill recovered completely from his pneumonia and carried me on his shoulders during the entire last match. Will let you know next month what happened.
While attending the theatre in New York last week I was pleased to run into TomMorgan who is with Pepsi-Cola International and operating out of Africa and Italy, and who informs me that his wife and two children give him a complete and happy life.
Don Clark has been appointed Assistant Art Director of Hoag & Provandie, Inc. of Boston, Mass. After being educated all over the world, it is nice to have Don settle here in New England.
Bill Schumacher, doing psychiatry, is evidently on the lecture circuit and has been heard making speeches to various Mothers' Clubs around Newtown, Conn. I always say that anyone who goes to see a psychiatrist ought to have his head examined.
INN AND OUT: Charles Feeney, now known as Chub instead of Chuck, and with good reason: Stan Priddy, with whom I have spent many evenings on the badminton court; and Mr. and Mrs. Horace Rockwell of West Hartford, Conn.
You've all seen those articles in magazines that start ofF "What ever happened to ." Well, next month I'm going to ask that question about some fellows we never seem to hear about —and those of you who have the answers can straighten us out.
I think we will close this month in hopes that the mail bag for the next column will be full. In the immortal words of a very famous undertaker, "I guess I'd better be shoveling off."
