The snow is high; the letters low, the current crop of children many and so this particular column must needs be somewhat shorter than we would like.
The only complaint that I have had about the column thus far is from my secretary, and because of her, I shall be forced to dictate a short column once in awhile.
It is nice to hear that fellow members of the Dartmouth Medical School have reached the heights:
Harold Frost, who finished up at the Northwestern Medical School in 1946, has been appointed Assistant Professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Yale. .Another classmate, Bill Schumacher, is now Senior Physician at Fairfield, Conn., State Hospital and was speaker at the Annual Fathers' Night Program at the New-town, Conn., Parent-Teacher Association Meeting. Bill is a father of two grown boys and spoke to the other fathers in a way which would help them to rate themselves as dads. He served as a physician in various assignments while in the U. S. Navy.
Still staying in the medical end of things, I see that John Pritchard has been named the leader for the American Cancer Society Drive in New Britain, Conn. He has been active in the Cancer Crusade for the past two years. Moving over to the legal world for the moment, Kevin Kenney has been rewarded for his service in behalf of the Disabled Veterans of Hartford, Conn. He is at present Judge Advocate of the State and Local D.A.V. Organization. Kevin is also a member of the executive committee for Dartmouth College in Hartford and he and Barbara are raising two sons.
Those of you who live in and about Wakefield, Mass., will please cast a vote for CatOsberg who is running for membership on the Planning Board. Evidently he has planned well for himself because he now has three children.
John Leene has finally given up the ghost and was married to the lovely Norma Louise De Prez of Rochester, N.Y„ and honeymooned in Bermuda. Congratulations may be sent to 16 Willowdale Drive, Rochester, N.Y.
INN AND OUT: Bob Peleren from Concord, N.H., and Bill Schumacher, who must be planning to speak in this area.
I shall now revert back to my practice and the vigil which precedes the birth of a new Fielding. See you next month!
