A fine letter, full of news, has been received from Dr. George Hahn. In it he describes a trip taken with his wife and family to historical Williamsburg and Yorktown, Va., thence to Charleston, S. C., and Fort Sumter and on to Georgia. One of the items that impressed the writer, and should impress the rest of you fellows, is that George mentioned that for two weeks he played "an average of six sets of tennis a day and then settled down to a more normal existence of swimming, fishing, reading and resting." Just writing about it makes him think of vacation again just reading about it makes me think of going to bed. Tennis, anyone?

George is chairman of the American Cancer Society's professional education committee and secretary of the Obstetrical Society of Philadelphia. He recently attended a meeting of the American Academy of Obstetrics and Gynecology in Chicago, where a round table group discussed the management of carcinoma of the cervix. At a later meeting of the American College of Surgeons in Cleveland, talks on curing and arresting cancer were held and once again George was in attendance. Teaching, writing and seeing his patients take up the rest of his time. Congratulations, George, on your great contribution to the well being of the nation and on your boundless energy!

Frank Elliott is connected with Radio-TV Station WCAU in Philadelphia. His two sons attend Haverford School and are presumably headed for Dartmouth.

Al Gerould continues as chief of the Central Reference Section of the Philadelphia Public Library.

We are informed that Steve Butterfield is in charge of Traffic Planning for the City of Philadelphia. We would like more information, Steve, please drop me a line.

Patricia Ann Lewis, eldest daughter of Holden Lewis, was married last summer. Now that you are a candidate for "grandfatherhood," Holden, why not drop us a note, bringing us up-to-date on your activities?

A short notice, without detail, informs us that Bill Kendell has been appointed assistant to the president of the Louisville and Nashville Railroad Company. Bill was formerly with the Atlantic Coast Line R. R., living in Wilmington, N. C., but is now located in Louisville.

George Bladworth and his family recently moved to 26 Atwood St., Wellesley, Mass., from Bedford. George is an agent for the Aetna Life Insurance Co.

Br. Frank H. Westheimer, professor of chemistry at Harvard, recently addressed a meeting of the Central Massachusetts Section of the American Chemical Society. Frank has carried out considerable research in the fields of reaction mechanisms, electrostatic effects and steric effects and emphasizes the use of models as a method of learning more about enzyme systems.

We would like to hear from Marv Chandler, recently elected president of the Northern Illinois Gas Company. New York's loss was Chicago's gain — but tell us more, Marv.

In closing, one plea from your secretary — you recently received cards requesting current information on you and yours. Help us bring our records up-to-date by sending them back promptly.
