Before Bob Blackman and his staff left Denver to take up their coaching duties in Hanover, they were given an enthusiastic welcome by this Association at an impromptu gathering at the Denver Athletic Club, Saturday afternoon, February 5. Bob refused to give any statement on football prospects but was enthusiastic in allowing the Secretary to report that he and his staff are looking forward to establishing themselves in Hanover and taking up their coaching duties at the College.
The January luncheon at the Navarre was featured by a presentation of slides showing early mining activity in Colorado. This program, which was an outstanding one, was arranged by Lew Williams '38, our luncheon committee chairman, with the assistance of Hart Gilchrist '31.
