The past month has been one of travel for many of our classmates. Carl and MarionWoods and Tom and Ruth Streeter have been on cruise to the West Indies. Tinker andIsabelle Gale, Perce and Blanche Hobbs spent some time in St. Petersburg. Pen and Sara are at Clearwater and with Sid and Louise have been luncheon guests of the Bartletts and made a call on Harry Chase - who now lives in Sarasota. Pen tried to locate BernieBoyle in Newport Richey, but only had a post office address and did not see him. Too bad! Better send me a street address, Bernie.

Beck and Sally Johnson leave for Vero Beach, Fla., March 12 and plan to swing around byway of Chattanooga to visit the Fletchers on their return home about April '15.

Dr. Leroy Vail has moved to St. Petersburg, Fla., permanently. A card from the Kid just received gives his new address as 13006 Boca Ciega Ave., Madeira Beach, St. Petersburg. The Class is delighted to hear from Leroy and sends to him best wishes. The secretary did not get his card until after the 10th of February when the Gales and Hobbs were there.

A couple months ago, your secretary announced the arrival of the 17th grandchild to the Cobbs. Puddie sends notice that on January 12 the 18th arrived. Daniel Jay Cobb, son of Julius D. and Joan Cobb of Levittown, N. Y. Congratulations! Mose Withey says the pace is too fast for him. At the 75th reunion the grandfather's cup goes to Puddie.

The secretary is in receipt of a book entitled The Only Way Out, author Ira O. Willard. This is a revised edition and covers much of the writings which Ira has published from 1946 to 1954. It concerns itself with the financial problems of this country, the dangers to our economy because of the increase in debt, and proposes a method of reducing some of the principal causes of debt. An interesting and valuable book. Copies may be had by writing Ira at Keene, N. H.

Freddie Root's brother, Kenneth, of Chicago, Class of 1909, has written me a very fine letter. And one came also from Mrs. Root with sincere expressions of appreciation to the Class for the words of sympathy and regret sent them. Kenneth noted that Freddie and Walter Russell were born the same year - 1882 - just a month apart, and died just a month apart. Throughout the past 55 years they had been close friends.

Last month the secretary mentioned some of the activities of Jig Leverone. This month comes information of further projects. Louis is chairman of the board and president of The Hospital Assurance Company. Its purpose, to provide comprehensive public and professional insurance exclusively for hospitals - a unique project, providing insurance coverage in a field never before touched. The company plans to work with medical and dental societies and hospital associations with the intent of helping improve safety practices and reducing the costs involved.

Another announcement comes of Louis' appointment as national vice chairman of a committee seeking funds toward the advancement of spiritual and moral values at Dartmouth College. It is the William Jewett Tucker Foundation Fund Committee, named after Dartmouth's ninth president, and is concerned with the religious life of Dartmouth students. The amount sought is $300,000.

A welcome letter is at hand from HerbieCallman. Herbie doesn't get into print often. It was nice to hear from him. He just passed his 72nd milestone. Going strong, at the office every day from 8:30 A. M. to 6:00 P. M., feeling fine and sends greetings to the Class.

A card from Dr. Albert Hill to say he is moving. After March 1, his residence will be at 2958 St. Joseph St., Long Beach, Calif. Albert didn't get around to sending any message.

If any of the classmates have a 1904 Aegis tucked away in the attic, the secretary would appreciate having it. It is full of undergraduate information which is needed and would be very helpful to the secretary. If you are junking your memorabilia books, those too would be gratefully received.

A lot of baby boys were born in the early 1880s and in the month of April. In the March issue you were brought up to April 15. Here are some more and up to May 15: Robinson, April 16; Ford, 18; McNamara, 18; Hobbs, 21; Leverone, 29; Aldrich, 29.

And in May: Rich, May 4; Hall, 7; Hamilton, 11; Bartlett, 12; Warner, 15.

A friendly greeting is a wonderful thing to receive.

Paste these dates in your hat and on your calendar, June 13, 14, 15, — when we gather at So. Mass. Hall for our 51st Reunion at Hanover. Yes, the dates are correct. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
