The time is certainly drawing nearer! As you read these lines, it will be a matter of only about two months before the Class of 1930 gathers again in Hanover, this occasion being the Silver Jubilee of the Class. This is more than just a reunion, — it is our significant 25th. Each of us will have only one opportunity to enjoy this memorable event and that will be the opportunity of being in Hanover from June 16 to 19. Don't miss the opportunity! But remember, - the Reunion Committee in charge of events must have your cooperation. Please let the Committee and the College know at the very earliest possible date of your plans so that you will not be disappointed with arrangements at the last moment. A tremendous amount of work is being done by a large number of your classmates in order to make sure that you enjoy this Reunion. These many workers will appreciate your prompt cooperation.

In last month's Notes, we reported that B. T. "Fitz" Fitzpatrick had resigned as the general counsel of the Housing and Home Finance Agency in Washington, D. C., alter being with that organization for many years, but at the time those Notes were written, your Secretary did not have news of Fitz's further plans. It has now been announced that Fitz will engage on a private basis as a housing consultant with offices in Washington. But Fitz has already been named as a part-time housing consultant to New York City's Committee for Better Housing, of which he will serve as executive secretary.... Eddie Jeremiah continues to be recognized as an outstanding authority on college hockey throughout the country. Eddie was appointed as one of the members of the Eastern Area Selection Committee for the NCAA Hockey Tournament which was played at Colorado Springs during March, and it was the task of the Committee to select two eastern entrants for this national tourney.

Lt. Col. Carl D. Jenson of Wethersfield, Conn., is president of the Flying Yankee Club, which recently held a dinner in the Officers Lounge at Bradley Field in honor of the Silver Wedding Anniversary of Gen. George Stanley, Commanding Officer of the Club. Carl is fully aware of the details involved in the preparation for celebration of a Silver Anniversary!... Judge Jack Keating who, as you know, is Judge of the Probate Court at Stamford, Conn., continues to amaze us with the multitude of civic undertakings in which he is engaged. A recent issue of the StamfordAdvocate showed a picture of Jack being presented a check by representatives of a reuning high school class of Stamford High School. It appears that Jack is president of the Stamford Scholarship Foundation, which is a fund used for aiding graduates of the Stamford High School in their college work.... Many of you may have noticed that in the February 6th issue of This Week magazine, which is the supplement which accompanys many Sunday newspapers throughout the country, an article appeared entitled "Myths About Pregnancy," which was written by Dr. GeneScadron. Gene is Associate Attending Obstetrician and Gynecologist at N.Y.U.Bellevue Medical Center in New York City.

The Class of 1930 was well represented at the annual dinner on February 16 of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Boston, which was held at the Hotel Statler. Those in attendance included Frank Doherty, JackFitzpatrick, Herb Chase, Bill Fletcher, LesGodwin, Pete Lillard, Bob Jordan (who drove up from Providence), Hank Newell (who drove down from Concord for the event), Rollie Booma, Dick Barnard, Frank Leahy, and your Secretary. Everyone who was in attendance at the dinner indicated that they were planning on being in Hanover on June 16 to 19.

Shaw Cole was one of a list of distinguished alumni who were honored for their achievements at the Midwinter Convocation and Centennial Celebration of New York University College of Engineering held on January 29. Each of the alumni who were honored at this convocation were awarded citations for their distinguished achievements in the field of engineering.... Announcement was made of the formation of a law firm in Manchester, N. H., as of March 1, 1955, under the name of Wiggin, Nourie, Sundeen, Nassikas and Pingree, with offices in the Amoskeag Bank Building. The first name in that firm name belongs to our J. Walker "Dean" Wiggin, who is and has been for several years a distinguished member of the New Hampshire Bar.

Dr. "Hub" Christman of Lakewood, Ohio, leads a mighty busy life in the practice of his profession. He is chief of medicine at Fairview Park Hospital, and also devotes a substantial amount of his time to the Cleveland Diabetes Society. Notwithstanding his busy hours, Hub was kind enough to write vour Secretary a note of Johnny Marsh's visit to Cleveland during the Christmas holidays. For some time now Johnny has been in Tripoli in charge of construction work and maintenance of the U.S.A.F. Air Bases in that area. Hub reports that Johnny looks fine, is handsomer than ever, continues to have a fine head of black hair (which cannot be said for several of his classmates) and still possesses that rich baritone voice and knows how to use it. Johnny's son, Doug, is in Staunton Military Academy, but Johnny made a trip to Hanover with Doug and no doubt saw some of the Hanover contingent at that time. Unfortunately, Johnny will be unable to make our 25th Reunion, but Hub says that he certainly will be there and is planning to bring his wife and two of his children.

Word has only recently been received of the death on February 12th, 1951, in Fitchburg, Mass., of William R. Hardy.

At the end of February the College had received declinations to the invitation to the "1930 Hanover Holiday" from only forty members of the Class. The authorities in Hanover having to do with reunions felt that this small number of "refusals" was an indication that 1930 would have a recordbreaking turnout for its reunion. By now you have undoubtedly received an announcement from Charlie Ranch's Reunion Committee of further details concerning activities in Hanover on June 16 to 19. You will recall that the Committee requested a return of information from you so that they might make their plans. If you have not already returned the questionnaire, please do so immediately so that the Committee may adequately prepare for this big celebration. And have you completed what you want to be your share in 1930's Combined Fund?
