The Santa Barbara Dartmouth group gathered at the Santa Barbara Club on December 21 for a luncheon to honor returning students and prospective ones. Present were Bill Gahagan '35, Ken Riley '49, Herb Jenks '17, Fred Long '11, Kevin Fay '39, Art Hoover '62, Eric Veblen '64, Henry Klinker '64, Jim Oberlander '53 (now working with Ken Riley in Crocker-Anglo Bank in Santa Barbara), Carl Eskeline '16. Doug Hayes, senior at Santa Marcos High, and Bill Rudolph, senior at Santa Barbara High, were our guests as was Kevin Fay's son, Kevin Jr. Klinker and Veblen brought us completely up-to-date on everything from the football season to the Hopkins Center opening. We miss Mark Lansburgh '49, who is now touring Europe slowly, studying manuscripts and searching out rare books in Ireland, England, Germany, France, Italy, and Austria before returning here next fall.

Quite a group went down to hear Bob Blackman speak to the Southern California Dartmouth Club and to see the films. We hope to have the films for a showing here and of course look forward to President Dickey's trip out this way in May.
