March came in like a lion this morning with heavy rain and blustery winds. However, the newspapers are full of spring-training baseball news, so spring is not far behind.

And with spring come the promised Reunion Dinners (with cocktails, of course) in the New York and Boston areas. I have dates set - now all I need is a definite location and some real attendance from you. On Friday June 3 in New York we'll get all you guys who can get there together for an evening blast - probably at the Dartmouth Club in the city. That is a Friday night, which seems to be the best night for guys to get their fraus into the big city for such an occasion. One week later, Friday June 10, we shall arrange a similar get-together in Boston - as yet I have no idea of the location. In each case we shall try to keep the cost as low as possible. In each case I hope the Class Treasury can help support the affair in some way - no matter how small - and in each case the guys who live in those areas will receive further literature on it (at least all whose up-to-date addresses I have). I ask you please to return the Yeses or No's as quickly as you possibly can so we'll have a decent idea how many to expect. So there you are - make your plans now promise the old gal that you'll take her out for a fine meal and a few drinks if she'll only stop nagging and darn your socks for you!

Pat and I did drive up to Carnival for the day on Saturday, February 5, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The Green came through admirably for us in the "win" column so that helped. Other '49ers lucky enough to be in Hanover were John, Joan, and Jeff Sweetland (who live there), Mike and Lois McGean (who also live there), Bob Muenzberg up for the day, and Marv Chandler who I saw out at the Jump.

Two days before Carnival, Tom Swartz called while passing through town on a business tour (Tom visits retail stores in Hartford, Providence, and Boston who handle his baby clothes, Thomas Textiles.) He was green with jealousy when I told him we were taking off two days later for the snowy lands.

Two engagements of the month, one a repeat. ... Paul, Woodberry of Waban, Mass., is engaged to Miss Margery Ann Brennan of Arlington, Mass. Margery is a Radcliffe graduate. ... Andrew Kelsey of Washington is engaged to Miss Ann Dyer Rickenbaugh of Denver, Colo. They plan an early spring wedding. Andy is associated with the State Department.

One wedding this month.... John Everatt of Eustis, Fla., was married on January 23 to Miss Betsy Ann Ross of Westford, Vt. Johnny is presently manager of the Men's Department of the J. C. Penney Co. store in Burling- ton, Vt.

Harry and Katie Randall announce the birth of daughter #2, Victoria Kinsley Randall on February 10.

Class Agent King Ball has been appointed manager of the Augusta, Maine, office of one of Maine's largest and oldest insurance agencies, Malcolm Dunlap.

Dick. Moulton has been appointed assistant cashier of the Hanover Dartmouth National Bank. Dick is married to the former Virginia Nodine of Newton, Mass., and has one son, Richard Jr.

Alan Wilson is in a three-way race for the post of Parks and Recreation Committee member in Springfield, Vt. Alan is manager of the Wilson Sporting Goods store. He and his wife Elaine have two daughters, age 4 and 2.

Paul Woodberry writes that his wedding date is to be May 7. He saw Roger Sheldon skiing at Pico in January - Roger is working for the overseas department of G.M. (I presume he means General Motors?). Paul had a "few beers" with John Everatt just prior to the latter's wedding date. He says Ed"Ulcers" Sullivan has hung his law shingle in Boston after two and a half years of law work in New York. Paul lunched with John Gallup on January 6 in Holyoke where John has a clothing store. John has "at least" two kids, says Paul. Paul himself is with W. R. Grace & Co. in New York doing financial analysis. Thanks for the newsy letter, Paul.

A few vocations I get from recent address changes. ... Frank Blanc is a salesman for Westvaco Color, Alkali Division in Pitts- burgh. ... Fred Briscoe is sales manager for Pan American Airways in Hartford. ... BillChapman is with General Electric in Cincinnati. ... Dr. Carl Granger is with the Department of Physical Medicine at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington. ... Lt. Joe Kelley is a doctor assigned to USAF Hospital at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. ...Bob Morin is administrative clerk with the Army Reserve Advisor Group in Portsmouth, N. H. ... RayPerry is a salesman for the Minnesota Mining & Manufacturing Co. in Newark. ... JohnWhelden is with Raytheon in Waltham, Mass. ... Don Burch is in market research with Gillette Safety Razor Co. in Boston. ... Win Snow is foreman for the Sexton Can Co. in Everett, Mass. ... Bots Young is with Owens Corning Fiberglas Corp. in Chicago.

That's it for this time. Hope you'll keep those dates in mind for class dinners ... June 3 in New York and June 10 in Boston.
