I'm quite short of material this week, so you won't have to put up with as much as usual. March came in like a lion this past weekend along with about 4 inches of snow. It will soon be the "schlump" season in Hanover which quickly will blend into the season for hits, runs, and errors.

Three engagements to report - Joel Berson of New York is engaged to Miss Ann Olstein of Woodmere, L. I. with an April wedding planned.... Dr. Charles Sargent of Cambridge, Mass. is engaged to Miss Martha Bucknell of Unionville, Pa. Al Quirk of Manchester, N. H. is engaged to Miss Patricia Ruth Russell of Boston.

Paul Woodberry was a New Yorker who made it up to be a Hanover Inn guest in mid-February.

Had a fine letter from Bert Rodman, the insurance tycoon in Boston who announces the acquisition of a new home a year ago in Newton. The Rodmans remain a family of four —with two lovely daughters. On a recent N. Y. visit Bert lunched with GeneKelly, Frank O'Halloran, and Dick Wolff. Others in the Boston area (who work nearby) whom Bert sees are Al Wagner and PalmerWorthen.

Into miscellaneous items: Ken Soule has been appointed the Albany manager of fire and marine lines with Travelers' Insurance Company. He had recently been field manager in Syracuse. Dr. Gordon Parsons has opened an office for the practice of general and physical medicine at the Port-York Medical Center in Portsmouth, N. H. Cordon and Lorraine, a registered nurse, are the parents of daughters Elizabeth (2) and Sarah Jane (8 months) Maury Cole was sworn in as a Counselor-at-law by the New Jersey Supreme Court in January. Maury was a 1952 Cornell Law School grad, but then went into the army.

Maurice Bombar is with Gulf Oil in Pittsburgh. Harvey Chandler is District Manager of N. H. Public Service Co. in Hillsboro, N. H. Ort Hicks is with the American Embassy in Oslo, Norway. Sam Kilner is an IBM salesman in Hartford. Ed Nickerson is a New York City journalist. Scott Whipple is a lumber salesman in Westport, Conn. JohnMadigan is an Estimator for a General Contractor in Birmingham, Ala. Bob Sawyer is the owner of the J. F. Zappey Insurance Agency in Greenfield, Mass.

That's about it for this time. At the recent Brown-Dartmouth hockey game we sat near the Jack Kilmartins and the John Stockwells. I hope you've marked your calendars for the New York City class dinner on Friday, May 10th. I'll be there — will you?????
