We hope to see as many Dartmouth Philadelphians as possible at Jim Tindle's '36 Valley Forge Farm on Saturday, June 25, for our annual picnic. There will be swimming, softball, sunbathing, and refreshments - liquid (beer or coke) and solid (hot dogs, etc.). The tariff is $1 per person, with children under 16 free. More details and route directions will come in your mail. The large crowd on hand last year had a great time. If you weren't there, how about getting in on the fun this time. If you were, we'll see you again.
Jim Tindle also played host last month to a fine turnout of young men accepted for the Class of '59 and a loyal group of alumni. Representing Hanover were new football line coach Jack Musick and Mike McGean '49 from the Secretary's office. Our enrollment committee and interviewers deserve a lot of credit for their important and time-consuming part in the selection of the outstanding group that will represent the Philadelphia area in the Class of '59.
As of the time of writing, our fleetfooted home run kings have just begun the Interclub Softball schedule. With some fine pitching by Totn Malcolm '54, they've chalked up a win in their one encounter so far.
