The Eddys left home early this year for Florida as they wanted to take in the Sky Line Drive, the Blue Ridge route while the foliage was good, and they hit it just right; the mountains were a blaze of color. They are now at 520 Polk Drive, Lido, Sarasota for the winter. ... Fred Smith '00, a native of Randolph, Vt„ and a schoolmate of Squash Mclntyre's has written us very interestingly about the McIntyre family history, tracing both lines back to Scotland and England. He points out that Grandma Blodgett was a descendant of a sister of Eleazar Wheelock, so it would seem that Squash was entitled to call our first President "Uncle." "T" and May Wood celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary October 17, at their home in Middleboro.

Jack and Edith Andrews drove south in November to spend a few days with their daughter in Alcoa, Tenn., and then on to Kissimmee, Fla., where they stayed at the Brahman Inn, and we all can imagine the fun Whiskers Crowell and Jack have been having together.... George Sunderland writes nothing would suit him better than attending the 55th in June next year, but is uncertain if he can make it. It was such a pleasure to have them with us at our 50th, we still hope he and Alma can make it in 1956. ...Jim Kimball attended the Harvard game in Hanover and had the good luck to sit with two classmates, Henry Taylor and Gene Leach. Jim says he walked down the hill to the depot in Norwich but he certainly missed the old covered bridge and the "homey" smell. Hoppy gave himself a birthday present this last November of a tabloid trip to Europe. He left Hanover on a Saturday afternoon, had breakfast in Paris the next morning, joined his friends, the Lawrence Whittemores, for an automobile trip through Switzerland, and was back in Hanover thirteen days after he left. Some difference from his first trip to Europe when it took ten days from New York to Cherbourg.

Ted Morehouse has bought a new home in Palo Alto, Calif., and his address is now 824 Seale Ave. His daughter's two sons, Ralph and Stuart, came over from Ireland this summer for a month's stay. Ralph returned early in time to enter Oxford University, Balliot College, as a freshman. Stuart has two years more before entering college but no doubt will enter Oxford at that time. Ted is another classmate making his plans to be with us in June.
