Johnnie and Alma Ward celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary October 4 at their home in Swampscott, with all the family present.... The trek of classmates to Florida for the winter has begun with the Eddy's at Lido, Sarasota, and Mortie Crowell at the Brahman Inn, Kissimmee, and more will be on their way soon.

We were saddened to learn of the death of Bill O'Leary's boy, Lawrence J. Jr., a graduate of the Class of 1933. "Larry" was the principal of the Waterford, Maine, High School, and he and his wife lived across the street from the Bishop home. Larry and Bunker were great friends and the two families had many happy times together.

Claude Butterfield writes he is happy with his new home on the Cape, and keeps busy around the house and gardens, but takes it easy most times. The Butterfields and the Harland Cates recently enjoyed a get-together and the grand good time at Hanover last June was recalled with great pleasure.... We hear from Ted Morehouse quite often and he always speaks of the 55th in June and how glad he is he could make the trip and be with us once again to renew those old friendships; he looks forward to future reunions.
