The class executive committee met at the Woodstock Inn on October 11 for its annual decision-making conference. The fact that no great earthshaking decisions were reached did not decrease the social pleasures of the weekend. Besides the executive' committee meeting and dinner at the Woodstock Inn. a class cocktail party was arranged at the Hopkins Center following the Penn game on Saturday. Both affairs were arranged with typical efficiency by John Gillespie. Unquestionably, the social events were the bright spot of the weekend since the weather was absolutely abominable.

This time Seaver Peters outdid himself in ticket arrangements. We had seats on the 50-yard line - even though they were on the wrong side of the field. The pouring rain apparently helped our team, since we won. But it sure as heck didn't help the spectators, many of whom could be found in the Hanover Inn cocktail lounges during the whole game.

There was a large crowd at the after-game cocktail party. The sign-in list included Jane and Bill White, Rosemary and Dave Mandelbaum, Charlie and Fran Morrison, Dick and Judy Steinberg, Dick and Barbara Barker, Sandy and John Gillespie, Pete and Judy Barker, Dick and Jane Pearl, Sandy and Jim Love, Lyon Greenberg and children, Dick Davidoff and children, Dave and Katy Gleason, Carol and Clark Murphy, Bob and Fay Berry, Bob and Barbara Boyd, George and Ann Voss, Steve and Carol Mullins, Dick Danforth, Shelly and Betty Ann Wolf, Bob and Barb Levine, Pete and Bobby Kenyon, and Dick Trowbridge and "kid." All in all, it was a good crowd, a fun weekend, and you shouldn't have missed it.

The business details of the executive committee meeting I'm sure will be covered in Jim Love's class newsletter.

Lack of space in last month's Magazine prevented us from reporting that ShellyWoolf has parlayed his early business career with "Woolfy's Whites' into the presidency of National Hardgoods Distributors Inc. of Newton Centre, a national houseware and hardware leasing organization. Now Shelly has been elected to membership in "Young Presidents" Organization, Inc., a worldwide educational association of 3,000 young, successful chief executives who have become presidents of sizable companies before the age of 40. The purpose of the Young Presidents Organization is to help its members become better presidents through education and idea exchange. I assume the election was retroactive, since I don't think we have any classmates who have just turned 40. Are you dreaming, Shelly!
