Moribund for several years, the Dartmouth Club of the South- Shore was revived at a smoker held last December, attended by over sixty South Shore alumni. The program was a great success, due to the efforts of steering committee chairman Nev Chamberlain '50, committee members Bob Reed '49, Cliff Fuller '42, John Clayton '51, Ted Olson '36, Ethan Hitchcock '27, Bob Rhoades '25, John Handrahan '37, Jerry Tosi '38, Bob Rencurrel '49, Bill King '27, Walt Friend '48, Phil Conothan '35, and Doug Donahue '45, and speakers, Dr. Arthur R. Upgren and Wilbur Volz. Many thanks are due for the cooperation and enthusiasm shown by all.
Most alumni in the towns of Cohasset, Duxbury, Hanover, Hingham, Marshfield, Norwell, Rockland, Scituate and Weymouth have already been contacted and invited to join. Present plans are to add Quincy, Braintree, and Hull to the list, and, thus augmented, to hold a dinner-dance early in March, followed by a clambake during the summer months. All alumni in the South Shore area, whether in the above-mentioned towns or otherwise, are cordially invited to join in the fun, and we particularly urge those who have not been contacted already to make themselves known to the club secretary. With but a few more members as enthusiastic as those who have already joined up, the Club is bound to be as successful as any in the Boston area.
Secretary, 71 Kingman St., Weymouth, Mass.
