Your secretary has news for you, exciting news, wonderful news: '07 is represented in Hanover by two undergraduates who are grandsons of one of our classmates. The young men are John Van R. King '57 and his cousin, Victor E.D. King '59. They are respectively sons of Jamie H. King '34 and Victor R. King '31, and their granddad is, as you may have guessed, Victor Louis King. Congratulations to our Vic and Mrs. King, and greetings to John '57 and Victor '59.
Art Taylor continues to teacn at Endicott Junior College, in Beverly, Mass., and hopes to round out a record of a half-century of teaching when he joins his classmates in Hanover in Tune 1957
Perley Churchill's son, Alex, entered Dartmouth in 1943 from a Navy V-12 unit and hoped to finish there, subject to war interruptions, but was transferred to Bucknell and an engineering career in 1944. He graduated from Bucknell and went on to a Master's degree in engineering at Carnegie Tech. Then followed a recall to the Navy to ' see the world and Korea for two years. Alex is currently employed by Monroe Calculating Co. and is living in Morris Plains, N.J. Last October the arrival of John Stuart Churchill made Perley a proud grandfather; already proficient in delivering the Dartmouth yell, says grandpa.
Dwight Hiestand has fallen hard tor vcapulco, Mexico, where he is enjoying an extended visit. He expects it to become the first resort in America in clue course. It has everything, says Dwight; climate, beaches, islands, mountains, fishing beyond compare, and, last but not least, a friendly exchange rate.
Introducing Robert Grove Burns, son of classmate James A. Bums ... Born in St. Louis, Mo., where his father has spent most of his postgraduate life, Robert attended Washington University and graduated in 1943. During World War 11, he was a Navy lieutenant, flew blimps, and was assistant to the Commander of the Navy Air Base, in Honolulu. After the war, he received a law degree from Washington University in 1947. He is married and has two children, lives in Kenilworth, Ill., and is employed by Standard Oil Co. of Indiana. Classmate Jim is enjoying retirement.
