Edward L. Ashley writes that he is enjoying life in Evanston, Ill., and that he has another grandson — James Gardner Acker, born August 12, 1959- He now weighs sixteen pounds and can nearly stand alone. Edward says that James will make a good football and baseball player, and that he is being taught a Dartmouth song. Wah-Hoo-Wah!

Blanche Stevens sends word that our classmate, Albert Stevens, will be out of circulation until some time in July. On January 19 he slipped on the ice and broke his hip. He came home from the Baker Memorial Hospital, February 18, and will be at home until April when he will return to the hospital to learn how to use crutches. Steve is taking it philosophically but will be much upset to miss the annual Hanover get-together this June.

Merton C. Knapp's wife, Susan, is in a nursing home in Boscawen, N. H. You have our very best wishes, Susan. Bill Ahern met our classmate, Earle H. Stone, who left the State Highway Department years ago to go back to his Dunbarton, N. H., farm where he is enjoying life. Hope to see you in June, Earle.

Bob Kenyon writes from Anna Maria, Fla., that he attended the Dartmouth dinner at Sarasota along with Allan Brown and Don Houghton, where they met many members of classes from '03 through 'OB and others.

Bill Sanborn and Edith have just completed a three weeks' trip to Miami Beach and Anna Maria, Fla., where they visited several classmates and then went on to Arlington and Williamsburg, Va.

Word has just been received from SamHale that our classmate, Waldo Pickett, passed away while having supper at his home on Ocean Road, Newcastle, N. H., Monday, March 28.. Time is surely running out on us all!

Annah P. Hazen, our honorary member, writes that "Dartmouth '07 is a brilliant star in my sky. Its bright rays cheer and warm my heart. I look forward to seeing you all in June without fail." Wonderful!

It's definite that '07 and '09 will join forces for their off-year reunions June 13, 14, and 15. The alliance will be informal, however with no specific programs to clutter up the opportunities for good old fashioned beefs and fraternizing with friends of college days. We'll probably have headquarters in the same dormitory or be housed in nearby dorms if more than one is necessary. The specific affair to which both classes are committed is our joint dinner on Tuesday night. At this time '09's Magic Music Makers and entertainers will be present to regale the assembled reuners. Entertainment will also be available for Monday night.

Classmates, it has been a pleasure to have served you during these few months while your Secretary, Dick Lane, and Lucy have been in the "Deep South." They will leave Sea Island, Ga., for home on April 12.

The game was supposed to be on the "up and up," but what is that card doing in Duke'strouser cuff? From left to right, the '09ers are:Emmett Hay (Duke) Naylor, Bill Patterson,Buster Brown, and Mort Hull. For further details see the 1909 class notes.
