CUPID'S CORNER ... Briefly noted are two recent nuptials, the first of which occurred February 25 in Beaver, Pa., where Jay Buck and Mary Elizabeth Howell were married. Many Dartmouths on hand, no doubt, among whom was Dick Echikson as an usher. Out in Salt Lake City, March 21, Bob McCcmaughy and Barbara Claire Clendenin wed and now reside at 906 South 19th East St.
Pete Bucklin's engagement to Weylene Edwards of Milledgeville, Ga„ was announced in a clever financial statement made by the prospective in-laws on March 15. We'll leave extensive quotation to the 50-50 Letter, but we might pass on the info that Weylene is an alumna of Georgia State College for Women and Wisconsin. She's teaching English, and Pete tutors in the biz school at the University of Colorado.
RATTLE PRATTLE...To serve notice that arrival tidings are welcomed at any time after the youngster puts in an appearance, we'll start with two from almost a year ago. Tune 9, 1955, found Bill and Mary Jane Patten proud parents of a son, Theodore David. They are building a house in West Chester, Pa., where Bill teaches at the junior high and works for his Master's from the University of Delaware. Recently Bill bumped into DaveFink who is toiling; for a doctorate at Penn.
On June 14 Kent Averill Smith became the second son of Mr. and Mrs. Woody Smith. His elder brother, Mark, is almost 5. Dad has a couple of BBDO's better accounts in the Buffalo area and states that classmates up there are generally hale and hearty. Woody reported that Male Riley is an editor on Materials ifMethods magazine, and we might add, doubled as head of publicity at the recent show held in connection with the annual meeting of the National Association of Corrosion Engineers in NYC.
Stu and Bettie Kay have their fourth son, Jonathan Evans, born November 28. Their twins, Andy and David, are 7, and Jimmie is 5. Stu is a resident in eye surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Montreal.
Chalk up another potential member of '78 with the birth of Clark Barthell Dickson, a seven-pound, six-ouncer for Al and Joy Dickson. Bart first saw light March 20.

GRAPEVINE REPORTS... Your Head Class Agent, Ted Bamberger, is so confident you will fill the Alumni Fund coffers early and generously that he takes time to scrawl notes as well as mail out follow-up cards. He says, for example, that brother-in-law Bob Cole is the only non-D reader we have; indignant fellow-perusers from our sister institutions may file complaints with the scribe at the address above. Ted saw Cal Sia in El Paso where he's stationed at the Beaumont Army Hospital. Amongst the oil tycoons Ted encountered were Nat Roy all in Texas and DaveWhite in Tulsa.
Recent Hanover Inn-mates included StewYoung, Bob Mauk, Harvey Graves, CliftWhiteman, Per Jan Ranhoff, and Cal Minor.
Phil Chapalis continues his studies at Athens College in Greece and wrote enthusiastically of the recent visit of President and Mrs. Dickey.

At the monthly Downtowners luncheon in March, '50 had eight out of perhaps 35 in attendance, including Dave Grinnell from Lincoln Engraving and Jack Harned from Glore, Forgan. Fifty did not dominate as much at the annual St. Paddy's Day blast, though, what with snow storms and so on, but among the stalwarts on hand were Rog Gaylord of McCann-Erickson and Dan Schausten now with the Port of New York Authority.

John Martin is a photogrammetric engineer with Airways Mapping Service, Inc., located in the Nation's Capital.
