THE HITCHING POST ... Jim Melville and Margaret Murray Shaw were married in Emmorton, Md., April 7. According to BudVegthe, who witnessed the affair, Jim has forsaken his Baltimore and Pittsburgh bachelor's quarters in favor of a love nest near the steel city.
On April 15 in Milton, Mass., Nancy Webb became the bride of John L. Truscott. Lud is with the law firm of Hodgson, Russ, Andrews, Wood & Goodyear in Buffalo. Since Nancy is a senior at Harvard Law - who knows? Wedding party members included Ted Prime,Billy Dann, and Nels Graves.
WALKING THE LAST MILE ... A quartet of '50s have started the stroll toward the march up the aisle, if you get what we mean. On March 31, plans for a June wedding were announced with the prospective bride of BillTurino to be Miss Mary Armistead Behr of Grosse Pointe, Mich. She's an alumna of Smith.
John S. Johnson and Miss Nancy Walker of Scarsdale, N. Y„ are engaged. Nancy graduated from Goucher and Katy Gibbs. John is with Price Waterhouse & Co. in Gotham.
On April 7 in Houston, Texas, the word went out that Tommy Ringe and Miss Cynthia Kirven Steward will be wed in August. Cindy is a senior at Pine Manor and Tom's back in the books at Penn Law School. Tom reports seeing Jim Moore daily, also on the same treadmill towards an LL.B., and likewise engaged to be married in August. His future helpmeet is Miss Betty Hunter of Plymouth Meeting, Pa.
INFANT INFO ... One of the more cosmopolite youngsters to appear on the rolls of our growing family is reported by the NobHovdes. Their daughter, Laurence Catherine, was born in Heidelberg, Germany, last July 6, saw Paris almost at once, and arrived in the U. S. in September. Nob's left the Navy for McCann-Erickson.
It was a second son for Terry and MaryGuider on March 24. The eight-pound, two-ounce boy was named John Francis.
Good news in the Howie Lawrence hacienda revolves about the arrival of son Michael James on April 15. Daddy has access to the best of lullabies as production manager for A-V Tape Libraries in New York City. Hi-fi fans, take note.
