Football season is in full swing. The Holidays will soon be here.

We are sorry to report that Treasurer Joe Kurey has been ill and in the hospital recently. He is now back on his feet however, so our best wishes are a little tardy. As Reunion Treasurer Joe gives the tentative report, the Reunion treasury is expected to enjoy a surplus of outstanding proportions. Confirmation of this will be a fine tribute to the successful management of the excellent Reunion we enjoyed in Hanover this past summer.

Bill Bailey, Secretary of the Aetna Casualty and Surety Company, addressed the Connecticut Chapter, Society of Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriters. Bill is a member of the Nuclear Energy Liability Insurance Association. He received his CPCU designation in 1952.

On May 31, a son, Joshua Carl, was born to Bud and Jacqueline Nossiter. He is their second. Daniel Debs is now 5. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Cantella were recent visitors at the Hanover Inn.

Dr. Kirt McCaleb has been promoted to leader of the Nitrogen Products Section of General Mills, Inc. He started with General Mills in August 1950 after obtaining a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin in Organic Chemistry. The McCalebs have two fine sons, Brian, age 6, "and Richard.

Ed Tevald took part in an exhibition of fancy diving in August in Hartford, Conn. He is the present Connecticut state AAU high board diving champ. Dave Emmons was appointed Kennebunk, Me., Municipal Court recorder by Governor Muskie this past August.

Hank Spiers, staff reporter with the Transcript-Telegram of Holyoke, Mass., for the past four years, sailed September 20 for Europe where he and his family will take up residency. Hank will apply for a position with the European office of Stars and Stripes, or with a press association upon his arrival. They have two children, Paul III ("Duff"), 4½, and Susanne, 3. They built a home in South Hadley this past spring which they are planning to sell.

The former Miss Barbara Burns and Dr. Cyril Shea were married in New York City April 27. They will live in New York City after a Bermuda wedding trip. Barbara is a graduate of Smith College and a former faculty member of Americano College in Caracas, Venezuela. Cyril, you remember, is a resident in orthopedic surgery at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, New York City. During the Korean conflict, he served as a lieutenant with the First Marine Division. He is a graduate of Harvard Medical School.

Dave Holmes and the former Miss Elizabeth Tracy Parsons were married in Buffalo, N. Y., July 27. The Holmes are living in Marblehead. Dave is State Agent with London & Lancashire for Eastern Massachusetts.

Andy McCulloch and the former Miss Joan Graydon Houston were married in New York City, June 15. Andy has an M.B.A. degree from Columbia University and is a TV coordinator with NBC.
