Under the supervision of John Lyman '28, the Southern California Alumni Schol arship Fund, which was inaugurated one year ago, is showing steady progress. The fund is assisting one undergraduate in the class of 1961 at the present time and with continued support, John is looking forward to the possibility of sponsoring two young men. Our current undergraduate, DougHorsburgh, is entering his sophomore year with grades well above the all men's average, has won his freshman football numerals and is a member of the varsity boxing team. Reports that have come in indicate that he is the type of young man that will most benefit from the purposes of our fund and it is obvious that continued support of the fund by Southern California Alumni is a must.
