Spurred on by gourmet Steve Stotzer '36, we nave changed our weekly luncheons to the Milwaukee Yacht Club, 1700 North Lincoln Memorial Drive. The day has been changed to Wednesday. The yacht club should provide better food, service, and facilities. It is open all year round. The only drawback to this change is that it is going to require a great deal of willpower to return to the office on those nice warm and sunny summer Wednesday afternoons. Oh, for the life of a sailor!
Our annual meeting was held, as scheduled, at Wulff's Island on April 8. Swept into office by a landslide with only four dissenting votes were: President, Geff Maclay '45; Vice President, Casey McKibben '51; Secretary, John Zillmer '48; and Treasurer, Bud Bray '50. The new officers hope that they can carry forward the very fine work done in the last year by retiring president, Bob Ott '43.
Arthur R. Upgren, Dean of Tuck School, was the speaker for our annual meeting. Those who didn't hear him missed a real treat. Dean Upgren presented his twelve-year economic forecast in a most interesting and lucid manner. His talk was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone present.
John R. Willetts '40 has been elected to the Alumni Council succeeding Bud Freeman '23. Bud has done an excellent job representing Wisconsin on the Alumni Council these past four years. We all owe him a vote of thanks. We know, too, that Johnny will be a most able member of the Council.
Early in March we put out our new Wisconsin Alumni Directory. This fine directory was the result of some hard work by Bud Bray '50, Bob Ott '43, Don Gates '42 (artwork), and Donna McKibben '51.
Save Friday night, June 21, for our annual baseball outing. It's Milwaukee v. Philadelphia. We have it on good authority that the Braves are going to go all out for this one. Don't miss it. We'll have dinner at the Boulevard Inn before the game. You will receive the further details by mail.
