Approximately 80 Dartmouth men and guests enjoyed a convivial evening with their Dartmouth neighbors of Western Connecticut at a dinner meeting, which was held the evening of May 21 at the Wee Burn Country Club at Darien.
Stephen A. Flynn '44, President, called the meeting to order, and the toastmaster was Ted Oakie from Darien. The "Football Highlights of 1957" film was shown; and Wilbur Volz, backfield coach, gave an interesting talk on the 1958 team. The principal speaker of the evening was Frank Smallwood '51, executive assistant to President Dickey of Dartmouth. Mr. Smallwood spoke on the subject, "The Trustees Look at Dartmouth's Future."
Wallace Blakey '30, and John Bathrick '34, were re-elected for a second term of three years to the Board of Governors. Also elected to the Board of Governors were Charles J. Chapman '33, W. W. Goodman '39, and Wright Mallory '38. R. H. Howe '39, was elected to the Board to complete the term of John Reeder '25, who has moved.
