Renewed vitality behind the Green Door on 39th Street has put the business down-turn elsewhere to shame. Manager Jim McKeon '39h reports a sizable pickup in profits since the completion of the redecorating job in January. An Open House in January found nearly 150 curious alumni praising the alterations and improvements.

The Daniel Webster Dining Room has been doing over-capacity business since its opening and provides an exclusive and relaxed atmosphere for Dartmouth men in the area. The tastefully furnished Ladies' Lounge on the second floor, a completely new facility for the Club, provides a fine spot for members to entertain. The street-floor foyer has become a cozy, carpeted meeting place. The Eleazar Wheelock Tavern, formerly the Hunt Room, has been buffed and polished and provides its usual fine refreshments.

In line with the regenerated spirit around the Club, the squash teams this year turned in some unusually fine records, winning the Class "B" and "C" Leagues of the Metropolitan Squash Racquets Association (there was no Dartmouth "A" entry). Bring home plaques for the first time in over ten years, Captain Howland Sargeant '32 did an excellent job of coaching his team. Playing on the teams were: Frank Mace '45, Albie Collins '52, Bill Fisher '52, Bud Addis '54, Ed Boyle '52, Mel Fenichell '43, Dick Hulbert '51, Aaron Daniels '57, Captain-Emeritus Ort Hicks '21, Bud Hewitt '40 and Joel Berson '49.

A Calypso Party was held March 2, after the blizzard of '58 cancelled a February try. A fine time was had by the attendants.

The Bridge team did not fare well this year, with a season record of two wins (over Penn and Brown) and five losses. Playing on the Club's Bridge League Team of Twelve have been: Sam Stayman '30, Dick Eberhart '35, Art Bamford '35, Ed Nye '30, Bob Sokolski '54, Perry Davis '54, Ed Berg '54, Reese Schoenfeld '52, Bill Christgau '18, Jerry Altman '32, Mike Isaacs '32, Ralph Smith '46, Dave Florence '53, Lon Russ '06, Jack Steeves '11, Dick Rubens '23, and Marshall Smith '52.

Visitors in the New York area are cordially invited to drop by the Club. A chit system is available for transients. Area alumni who are not members are invited to look over one of the biggest club bargains in New York City.
