In order that our membership as well as our loyal employees may have full opportunity to bask in the sunshine and breathe deeply of fresh air during the summer weekends, the restaurant and spa will be closed on Saturday during the doldrums. Sunstroke and heat exhaustion may be avoided on all other weekdays in the air-conditioned dining room, lounges and bars. As in the past, privileges of the Princeton Club facilities, including restaurant and bar service, are available to our members on Saturdays and Sundays when our own facilities are closed.

The Club recently was honored by a visit from President John Dickey '39, Prexy, together with Vice President Ort Hicks '21 and Secretary of the College Sid Hayward '36, sat down with the officers and Governors of the Club at an informal luncheon discussion of matters of mutual Interest to the College and the New York alumni body.

Aaron Daniels '57 recently brought honor to himself and the Club by winning the Class "C" individual championship of the New York college clubs' squash racquets tournament. His triumph, over a record total of 92 racqueteers, represents the third by a Dartmouth Club player in the last four years.

Golf Captain Charlie Simonson '31 needs skilled divot diggers for the 1959 College Clubs Golf League tournament at the Sleepy Hollow Country Club, in Tarry town, June 25. Any member answering his call will receive not only the joy of bringing honor and acclaim to the Club - something which has escaped us in this tournament for the last few years - but a gala dinner party and such fringe benefits as a hot shower and a bunion pad for his tired footsies.

Cliff Hart '21 has taken over as editor of the Dartmouth Club News. He knows the job well, for it was he who founded this dandiest of all house organs more years ago than he cares to remember.

The Nominating Committee, Jack Dodd '22, chairman, Dek Davidson '52, Jim Landauer '23, Harry Enders '29 and John Foster '23, has proposed the following slate of officers for the next club year, commencing September: President, Sam Cunningham '31; Vice President, Jock Vincens '39; Secretary, John Hatheway '48; Treasurer, Paul Jameson '29. Nominated by the committee for three-year terms on the Board of Governors: Nels Ehinger '52, Mutt Ray '37, Vin Turecamo '37, and for a two-year term, John Moore '23.
