Laurens L. Henderson '22 of Phoenix has been named by Governor Fannin to be Judge of the Superior Court of Maricopa County, Arizona, filling out the term of Judge Charles C. Bernstein who has advanced to the State's Supreme Court.
A native of Indiana, Mr. Henderson took his law degree at the University of Michigan in 1925 and practiced law in Indianapolis with his father until 1938, when he moved to Phoenix. During World War II he served in the Army Counter Intelligence and later was with the War Department Board of Contract Appeals. In 1952 he was a presidential elector from Arizona.
Mr. Henderson and his wife, Mary Alice, have two sons. The younger, Charles, is a Dartmouth freshman. Laurens Jr. is a graduate of the University of Arizona and its law school, and is with Standard Oil of New Jersey.
