In three meets over the past month Dartmouth's wrestling team was walloped 27-3 by both Springfield and Harvard and then triumphed over Massachusetts, 24-5, for a two-two record to date.
Coach Bill Craver reports on the team in "Coaches Corner" this month and it is clear that this is a rebuilding year for the Indian grapplers.
Don Heinemann was the only Dartmouth victor against Springfield, with Captain John Chisholm the lone victor in the Harvard meet. Against Massachusetts, however, Mike Duffy (123), Jim Allison (130), Captain John Chisholm (147), and Jim Lawrence (167) all won by decisions, while Jay Crane (177) tied in his match and Hop Holmberg (157) was Dartmouth's only loser, this by a close decision.
Matches with Amherst and Brown remain on the schedule.
