Mosher S. Hutchins '17 was hailed as the outstanding Dartmouth Class Newsletter Editor of the Year at the annual dinner of class officers in Hanover, May 1, and was cited as follows:

For nearly five years now your tireless efforts have made the 1917 Sentry outstanding among Class Newsletters. The final criteria for judging this award are based upon regularity of publication, effective coverage of class and College events, news of classmates, and general manner of presentation. In every one of these categories you have consistently excelled.

The traditional Sentry masthead with its sketch of the shy young soldier is a welcome and familiar sight to loyal Seventeeners the world over who know it as a regular messenger of class news and College events. Your year-round issues have been assembled with a keen nose for news and great editorial acumen. As an advertising man by profession, you certainly must have applied your skills and experience in working with your Class Newsletters, as in style and appearance they would merit the envy of any professional publishing house.

Mosher Hutchins, for the truly superlative work you have done in writing the '17 Sentry and for your service to your class and College, we honor you here tonight as the outstanding Newsletter Editor of the Year and present you with this award, a framed etching of Dartmouth Hall. We sincerely hope that for many years to come the familiar Sentry will walk his post under your able direction.
