JOHN G. SKEWES '51 of Farmington, Conn., has been named Assistant Business Manager of the College, it was an- nounced by President Dickey on February 22. He has resigned his position as division superintendent with the Stanley Tools Division of The Stanley Works, New Britain, Conn., to assist Richard W. Olmsted '32, business manager of the College, in the affairs of his office.

After graduation from Dartmouth, Skewes served in the Army from 1951 to 1953 and was officer in charge of an intelligence unit in Korea. After a period with the Lowell Iron Foundry he returned to Dartmouth for two years of study at Tuck School and obtained his M.B.A. degree in 1956. Skewes joined the Stanley Works training program in 1956 and has successively been assistant to the office manager, assistant to the production manager, and division superintendent with the Stanley Tools Division of the company.

Skewes is married to the former Constance C. Boyd of Concord, Mass., and has a son and a daughter.
