It snowed last night and the foothills are white this morning, so the Schlatt Rideren will be in full cry over the weekend.

Dr. Bill McLaughlin '36 of Hanover was in town en route to Squaw Valley (and points west) where he will probably run into Dr. Henry Buchtel '28, Wednesday skier, who is headed that way too.

On January 12, 1960 the enrollment committee, Don McNichael '53, Robert Fullerton '51, and Ed Hunter '55 entertained three score well washed prospects and fifteen or so alumni (also presumably well washed) at the University Club. Refreshments were served and the two excellent color films about the College were cranked off. Cal Fisher '32 spoke with feeling, and many questions were answered. Don and his committee report a high level of prospective student interest which has by now been translated into formal applications to the College for admission.

Last Friday's luncheon meeting of the Dartmouth Association of the Great Divide was psychiatrically oriented, and our speaker was John Mcdonald, M.D., Assistant Director of the Colorado Psychopathic Hospital. Dr. Mcdonald pinch-hitted beautifully' for his Chief, Dr. James Garvin, and chose "criminal homicide" as a subject. About this nucleus he wove a composite "on-the-couch" picture of the murderer and the murdered. We picked up quite a few useful pointers. Next time we do it, we will do it differently.

Kent Kane '56 was new at the luncheon table, and opposite him was Ben Salzer '21 newly come but old in the ways of the world.

The wedding of Keith Anderson '39 to Katherine Huber Fitzpatrick was another felicitous occasion which brought several of the Alumni group together in the midst of a joyful noise. We all wish Keith and his wife much future happiness. Keith acquired a full ski team in this alliance, three or four active boys.

Steve Cowperthwaite '52 and his faithful secretary have turned over to the officers of the Association a splendid compilation of the names, addresses, telephone numbers, and pertinent data relative to the approximately 300 members of the alumni group in this area. Although such a list is constantly changing, its core is fairly stable, and we all are very grateful to Steve for this effort. Now we know where to find everyone.
