THE TWENTY-MAN TPC SUBCOMMITTEE on Admissions and Financial Aid had as its chairman Hadley Cantril '28, board chairman of the Institute for International Social Research, Princeton, N. J. Other alumni representatives were Charles G. Bolté '41, New York City; John B. Faegre Jr. '33, Minneapolis; Alan N. Hall '47, St. Paul's School, Concord, N. H.; Prof. John V. Kelleher '39, Harvard University, Cambridge, Mass.; Donald C. McKinlay '37, Denver; William W. Parmer '42, assistant superintendent of schools, Tenafly, N. J.; and John R. Willetts '40, Milwaukee.

Faculty members were Raymond W. Barratt, Professor of Botany; Norman A. Doenges, Associate Professor of Classics; Severn P. C. Duvall Jr., Associate Professor of English; Albert H. Hastorf, Professor of Psychology; Clark W. Horton, Consultant in Educational Research; Charles B. McLane '41, Professor of Russian Civilization; and J. Laurie Snell, Associate Professor of Mathematics.

Administration members were Edward T. Chamberlain Jr. '36, director of admissions; Robert K. Hage '35, director of the Office of Financial Aid; Davis Jackson '36 and Frank A. Logan '52, assistant directors of admissions; and William H. Perry Jr. '55, assistant to the director of admissions.

"The report reflects differences within our group when they occurred, which was often," said the Subcommittee. A lengthy supplement to the report included summaries of discussions and various appendices, so TPC could have the benefit of being acquainted with the background of the thinking of Subcommittee members.
