With President Kennedy's approval on July 24, 1961, Colonel John G. Bouker, of Greenfield, Mass., has been nominated for promotion to the rank of Brigadier General. John is presently a staff officer with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Washington, D. C. . . . Col. James L. Conrad, president of Nichols College, Dudley, Mass., announced that Robert H. Eaton, Dudley Hill, Mass., has been named full-time director of the field experience program and business clinic at the college. ... Good luck to Dr. and Mrs.Robert Dietrich Bright in their attempts to speed up legislation which will permit their adopting a two-month-old Tahitian girl.... Brew and Marge Towne don't think you'll recognize the place on your next visit to White Stallion Ranch in Tucson, Ariz. Newly redecorated it opens October 28 with hints of a wonderful Christmas program. . . . Wife Martha, five sons and a little daughter are very proud of Art Appleton, "enjoying one of the longest tenures of any young president," has been with the company 25 years, 13 as president. ... D. Herbert Beskind has been appointed chairman of the executive committee of the Eastern Life Insurance Company of New York.
