The time has come once again. Class Treasurer Oldfield will be, or is, knocking at your door with his yearly plea for class dues. So much has been written on this sub- ject during the last few years that anything I could say would probably be repetitious. Nevertheless, your $5.00 is a worthwhile investment. Not only does it assure you another year of what is considered by many the best college alumni magazine in the country, but as you know, it will enable the Class Executive Committee to continue its yearly gift to the Scholarship Office for book-purchase disbursement among needy students. So think hard about this $5.00 investment in Dartmouth's future. Incidentally, Barney has moved to a new address: Route 2, Box 291, Elyria, Ohio.

A news item from "The City" informs me that Bruce Kenworthy has been promoted from merchandising specialist to manager, Nylon Home Furnishings for the Chemstrand Corp. Bruce studied textiles at C.C.N.Y. and was associated with Bigelow Sanford, Inc., Bauer and Black, and H. L. Stifel and Sons, Inc. before joining Chemstrand, a major producer of chemical fibers owned by Monsanto Chemical Company. He resides in Port Washington with wife, Virginia, and children Jill, Janet and David.

From Chicago comes news of CharlieBecker who has just been appointed assistant vice-president by the board of directors of the Harris Trust and Savings Bank of that city. Charlie, a Tuck School graduate, has completed a course at the Graduate School of Banking at the University of Wisconsin. He also serves as a trustee of Camp Reinberg Association and Gads Hill Center, a member of the caucus committee of the village of Northfield, and a director of Fleetcraft, Inc. Harry Hampton has been made secretary-treasurer of his company, The Sportsmen's Service Bureau, and reports his hands full. Tom Lewis is a member of a Main Line (Philadelphia) singing group, the "Suburban Squires."

Courtesy of Jim Edson, I have the follow- ing bit of information regarding the doings of Art Pounds: Art was unanimously elected to the Elyria, Ohio, Board of Education last April. A busy, and civic-minded citizen, Art has served as a president of the former Elyria Township PTA, chairman of the Lorain County Citizens Committee for Reorganization of School Districts, and other committees too numerous to mention. He works for B.F. Goodrich Chemical Co. as development supervisor of new product development at the Avon Lake Development Center.

John Jennings has been appointed director of market research and new products coordinator at John H. Breck, Inc. He recently returned East from Denver, Colo., where he was vice-president of marketing for Noreen, Inc. Nice to have you back in New England, John. Hope to see you at some games this fall. Paul Pillsbury received the degree of Doctor of Philosophy last June from the Eastern University of Michigan where he is now an assistant professor in the Department of English and Speech. Paul also holds Master's degrees in Linguistics and English Literature from the University of Michigan.

That's all for this month except that I hope the Big Green football team continues to please its supporters. Go Dartmouth!
