The late Fred G. Folsom '95 has been named to the Helms Football Hall of Fame. Folsom played end on the Dartmouth teams of 1892, 1893 and 1894, but it was as a coach that he established himself in football. From 1903 through 1906 he coached the Big Green in what might be termed the first golden era of Dartmouth football. His 1903 team helped dedicate Harvard's Soldiers Field and beat the Crimson for the first time, 11-0. His 1904 team was unbeaten in eight games and in 1905 he saw his Dartmouth team beat Princeton for the first time, 6-0.

Coach Doggie Julian's JV football team came up with a fine performance in beating the Army B team, 14-6. Left halfback John Prince broke loose for a 60-yard run to the Army five, where quarterback Tom Maddix then hit fullback Joe Tiolo for the touchdown. In the fourth quarter Bill Madden connected with Allin Pierce on a 50-yard pass play and Dan Connelly went the remaining four yards for the TD.

The final three football games will be aired by the following radio stations: WKCR-AM,FM, New York will broadcast the Columbia game; WHCU (870) the Cornell game; and WVNJ, Newark (640), WBUD, Trenton (1260), and WIP, Philadelphia (610), the Princeton game.
