I usually ponder over something witty to start out each month's column with but thought I'd save ink and your patience this time. Let's see who's been married recently.

Dave Glendinning and Priscilla Jackson of Danvers, Mass. Dave is a senior at Episcopal Theological School in Cambridge. Leon Goodrich, a senior at Harvard Law School, and Katherine Gulliksen of Princeton, N. J. Lt. (j.g.) Steve Ireland and Judith Moyes of Salt Lake City, Utah. Steve's a student at the U. S. Army Language School in Monterey, Calif.

Re a couple of weddings mentioned in past months' columns: At Dan Pierson's wedding to Lee Abbott, Lee's brother, Bob Abbott served as head usher while John Graf,Ted Harris, Larry Bill, Don McCree, EdBurns and Ben Cooper were ushers. A few more words about those last mentioned: John's a law student living in Boston; Ted's at Harvard Med School after graduating from the Dartmouth Med School with many honors, including the Roche Award, given to the outstanding member of the class. Ted and his wife Mary Ann will leave for London this next summer where Ted will continue his terrific work; Larry works for Johnson and Johnson; Don has a bank job; Ed's in the food business in upper New York state and Ben reportedly has some kind of a cloak and dagger job. Many thanks for the info, John.

Others seen at the great Pierson debacle include Rink DeWitt, in the Air Force; Rick Franz, who's with Republic Steel; and Dick Shanaman.

John Graf was best man and Dick Shanaman and Dan Pierson ushers at the wedding of Bob Abbott and Leslie Knight last October. Among Chicago denizens present were Jerry Green, who's now with Price Waterhouse, Walt Busker and Morris Greeley.

A few last bits of information: Carl McCall reported in from Edinburgh, Scotland, where he's taking a year's course in Social Ethics at the Divinity School of Edinburgh University. He and his wife will return to Andover Newton Theological School next year where Carl will complete his preparation for the Congregational ministry. Marine First Lt. John Lanigan recently received his wings at Corpus Christi, Texas, where he will be flying FU-11 jets. Making the rounds of the Mediterranean as a special weapons officer aboard the carrier "Intrepid" is John Coulter. Also, anonymous reports that Church Pew has suddenly become a businessman of high repute after a training stint with Underwood-Olivetti in Connecticut. He'll soon be in Portland, Me., as a special representative handling business machines. Gary Sykes recently joined the Newark office of Francis I. DuPont and Co., securities and commodities brokerage firm as a registered representative.

That seems to be about all I can wrest from my mind right now. You can rest peacefully another month when I'll again be with you to spread more gossip and lies.
