Two former Dartmouth hockey teammates have joined forces to organize and coach a Pee Wee hockey team in Hanover. Seaver Peters '54, former Dartmouth hockey captain and assistant comptroller at the College, and Ab Oakes '56, freshman hockey coach, are taking the sport to boys aged eight to fourteen years with practice sessions held weekly in the Davis Rink. Nearly 100 youngsters have turned out and games with other Pee-Wee hockey teams in the New Eng- land area are planned for later this winter.

Three freshman team captains were elected in late January. John A. Boynton Jr. of Plainfield, N. J., was selected to lead the Pea Green swimming team. He holds the Dartmouth record of 4:44.8 in the 440-yard freestyle and is regarded as one of the most promising swimmers in recent years. He is the son of John A. Boynton '39.

John H. Carpenter of Johnstown, N. Y., first-line center and leading scorer on the freshman hockey team, was elected to captain that team. Carpenter won freshman numerals in soccer last fall and expects to go out for the baseball team this spring.

The new freshman track captain is William E. Flowers of Mamaroneck, N. Y., who is a standout dash and 600-yard runner. He was a member of the All-Westchester County track team in 1960.

An early note from officials of the Syracuse IRA Regatta reminds alumni in that area that the Regatta will be held on June 17 of this year. The traditional Steward's Dinner, held the evening before the race, is open to the public and information on the Regatta or the dinner may be obtained from Fred Daiger at the Chamber of Commerce in Syracuse. The Dartmouth crew will, of course, be competing at this Regatta.
