On March 25 the Dartmouth Club of Bergen County held its second annual Spring Dance at the Ridgewood Country Club for the benefit of the Scholarship Fund. There were 120 couples in attendance, with music furnished by the John Hofer Quintet.

During the course of the evening, our annual Award of Merit was presented to Dr.Spencer Treadwell Snedecor '20 of Hackensack, N.J. This award is presented each year to an outstanding Dartmouth alumnus from Bergen County. The Awards Committee presented Dr. Snedecor with a hand-colored etching of Dartmouth Hall. The citation that accompanied the award will be found with the 1920 class column in this issue.

Midway through the Dance, there was a short business meeting electing five new officers ]and three trustees, with six trustees continuing to serve unexpired terms. The newly elected officers are: Robert F. Allabough '34, president, Wood M. DeYoe '48, vice president, Donald M. Sisson '45, secretary, Raymond S. Morgan '35, corresponding secretary, James R. Cobb '53, Bradford D.Grinnell '44, and Arthur B. Toan '36, trustees for three years to fill expired terms, and Ralph L. Specht '35, Richard M. Bugbee '43,Irving M. Levitas '29, Howard T. Pitts III'53, Edmund R. Senghas '47 and Gilbert G.Sykes '36, trustees continuing to serve unexpired terms.

The retiring officers were Joseph W. Hickman '48, president, Robert Allabough '34, vice president, William Parmer '42, secretary. Philip N. Trowbridge continues as treasurer.
