The Class of 1906 should be proud of its record in the 1962 Alumni Fund. Our final figure was $6214.00 which was $1074 more than our quota. As usual Nat Leverone was the top contributor and NedFrench was second. All but eight classmates sent in a gift.

We were able to make this excellent showing because 35 of our class widows contributed $1440. 1906 is justly proud of this loyal and generous group.

Ethel and Walter Powers were in England all summer. It is reported that Walter spent the entire vacation paddling his kayak on the Thames. Ethel sat on the bank watching to see that he didn’t fall overboard.

King Benton writes that Constance and he are enjoying their combination house and studio in Carmel, Calif., very much.

Lillian Terrien writes from Texas that she was in Hanover this summer but did not see any member of the class.

Helen, Robert and Norman Russell made a trip to Hanover this summer and accord- ing to the report in the Newburyport News Norm returned as Secretary of the class. However he wouldn’t accept the job as the salary was too small.
