OCTOBER 1962 RICHARD BARNARD ’30

The Mystic Valley Club came to life with a big bang on a very beautiful evening, June 15. This night will long be remembered by fifty-five Dartmouth men and their wives. Our President, Bob O’Brien ’41, had the vision to know we should have a real get- together and with the great help of JohnKoslowski ’43 we had exactly that. John allowed us to use his fine estate adjoining the Belmont Hill private school and we had an old-fashioned clambake. Everything went as perfectly as anyone could ask for. We had lots of young people in the classes of ’52 through ’57 and we had absolutely per- fect weather after a spell of rain. Our caterer served hot lobsters and clams plus much else on the private grounds of the Kos- lowskis. We had Dartmouth music and ev- erything was informal.
