The Club’s spring dinner dance was held at the Woodway Country Club this year and again proved to be a great success. We imported a piece of the famed Barbary Coast for dancing and twisting some of the old grads were amazingly good at the latter. Some excellent vocal music was supplied courtesy of Allan Dingwell ’42 and his really great Off Sounders singing group.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of the Club’s annual Dartmouth Man of the Year Award. The award presented by last year’s honored recipient, Harold E.Rider ’25, went to Windsor C. Batchelder’l9. The award honored specifically Batch’s outstanding service in behalf of our club and his local community but noted also his long standing record of service and devo- tion to the College. Congratulations from all of us, Win, and thanks for the great exam- ple of service you have put in front of us. -»-r 1 T» _ - J _J2 I . „
