Age is no barrier to moving. In fact, at our stage of life frequently it is the reason for transplanting oneself. Among those who have pulled up stakes is Ralph Tucker, whose outfit, Cryovac Division of W. R. Grace & Co., transferred him to Duncan, S. C., in conjunction with a centralization program. Pending completion of his new home, "which will be readily identifiable by a weathervane depicting a pine tree, an Indian, a clergyman and a barrel." He and Ruth are staying at the Pine Crest Inn, Try on, N. C. They're so impressed by the warm winters and cool summers and the climate in general, they have practically decided to remain in the area upon retirement a few years hence. Incidentally, their daughter was married a year ago August and their son became a benedict the August before.

Ralph Carey retired about a year ago after 32 years with the Shell Oil Co., the last 13 of which was as their Northeast Division Manager. He plans to spend about five months during the warm season on Nantucket Island (Box 110, Siasconnet, Mass.) and the remainder of the year at Pompano Beach, Fla. 1271 South Ocean Blvd.), at each of which locations he built a house in 1954 and 1958 respectively. Like many others in similar situations he's found the period of adjustment somewhat difficult and plans to add golf to his current fishing activity on the strength of assurances from friends that "it doesn't matter too much if you play a lousy game - which I did for year?;".

Bill Lauman, after having taught at Williston Academy, is now teaching in Rochester, N. Y., and is living at 520 East Ave., Rochester 7. Marty Huberth while living in New Hampshire was getting his mail in Vermont. Now his mail should be addressed to Lyme, N. H. Other address changes are: Gene Callis, 2030 Waverly St., Philadelphia 46, Pa.; Ed Childs, Box 178, Stockholm, N. J.; Rog Stephenson. 291 - 2nd St., West, Tierra Verde, Fla.; Mott Garlock, 381 Russell Ave., Suffield, Conn.; Horton Conrad, 231 N.E. 9th Ave., Deerfield Beach, Fla., and Rodgers Wyckoff, 8235 Bevan St., San Gabriel, Calif.

C. Allen Bickford is a Forest Service statistician with the Northeastern Forest Experiment Station at Upper Darby, Pa. After getting a degree at the University of Idaho, Bick engaged in forest fire and forest management research for 15 years in the south and has held his present position for the past 15 years. Ed Hewitt has been named vice president and general sales manager of Thomas & Betts Co., Inc., Elizabeth, N. J., with whom he has been associated since 1930. Incidentally, Julie reports the accumulation of quite an international family: "'On May 15, our little granddaughter, Cynthia Hewitt Bird was born to our daughter, Leslie and husband, David Waddell Bird, in Lima, Peru. As you may remember our little grandson, David II, was born nearly three years ago in Tokyo. Dave is with the International Division of Ford Motor Company, hence the various countries. We hope to see the young lady in person late summer when we expect all hands for a visit."

Walter Tower was recently re-elected a director of Federal Kemper Life Assurance Co., a relatively new organization under the management of the Kemper Insurance Group. This is only one of several positions Tippy holds in the companies of the Kemper group, which he joined in 1931. A note from Deak Blodgett late last spring has been held pending an opportunity to quote from it as follows: "Big and I have just returned from Mexico - by way of San Diego - to visit her brother, Henry Leffingwell, who lives in Guadalajara. It was a terrific trip for us, because up until a couple of years ago we had never been able to go on vacation together. Henry looks in the pink - better than I've ever seen him since the days in Hanover - and busy keeping his place going. It was sort of a family reunion, with daughter down from Portland and sister from San Diego. We went home with the latter and were met at airport in Tijuana by Stan Litchfield's wife, Bertie. It was most pleasant to see Stan again - and as all dp - we basked over the old days." Deak's reason for writing was primarily to enclose a two-page spread by Bob Misch on the subject of wine, which appeared in the May 20, 1962, issue of "Today's Living," the magazine section of the New York Herald Tribune.

Lawrence Marshall has been elected a director of Moore-McCormick Lines, Inc. Larry, as almost everyone knows, is vicechairman of Chase Manhattan Bank. Mrs. Jack Reeder's daughter, Robin Laurie, was married last June in Greenwich, Conn., to Mr. Peter W. McLagan. Dr. John L. Norris has been elected president of the Industrial Medical Association. Jack, it will be recalled, is associate medical director of Eastman Kodak Co. and is a fellow of both the American Academy of Occupational Medicine and the IMA.

The opening football game at Hanover was enjoyed by the Ford Wheldens, BobMcKennans, Larry Leavitts, Rad Tanzers,Brad Kingmans, Brad being in town to attend a meeting of club officers, and yours truly. Highlight of the weekend (aside from the game) from the standpoint of your scribe was the rally Friday evening at which the coach introduced with appropriate remarks each member of the squad, followed by a tremendous bonfire in the middle of the campus around which the freshmen ran in an ever-widening circle as the heat became more intense. It gave one a temporary feeling of once again taking part in the undergraduate life.
