Financial job changes and updates this month, smack on the heels of the Dow exceeding 10,000 (at least intraday...by the time you're Bead- ing this, it might be well ahead of that heady pace!).

Jeff Wallace and his firm Greenwich Treasury Advisors in Greenwich, Conn., conducted a foreign exchange benchmarking study among 32 multinational companies to find ways in which they could "have world-class risk management practices equal to their world-class manufacturing, marketing, and operations," according to the intro to Jeffs recent article in the TMAJournal entitled "Best Practices in Foreign Exchange Risk Management." Jeff goes on to summarize seven "best practices," well worth studying if you're in the risk business.

Maybe not into foreign exchange yet, but Allen Pattee's sure got his hands full in the treasury realm—Allen's the new treasurer of Energy North, a holding company headquartered in Manchester, N.H., with 100,000 customers throughout New Hampshire and Vermont.

Allen was most recently with NYNEX as vice president, market and industry assessment, and lives in Bedford, N.H., with his wife, Terri, and kids Bethany, Daniel, and Sarah.

Keep those cards and letters coming!
