Our fall season got off to a rousing start with the celebration of Dartmouth Night on October 5 at the Chimes Restaurant in Paramus. Club President Wood De Yoe '48 led the festivities as a good crowd turned out to join thoughts and spirit with Dartmouth men around the girdled earth. It is interesting to note that the celebration of Dartmouth Night as an official club function started last year, almost by accident. Some of our more dedicated members decided to hold an informal get-together to mark the occasion. They were so enthusiastic about the results that this year it was given full publicity and brought out many members who hadn't been seen in years. A piano, a dubious array of voices, and excellent bar service brought Dartmouth Night to Bergen County in the true Hanover spirit.

But not everything in Bergen happens by accident. Our Scholarship Fund is the product of a great deal of planning and individual effort. Our successful effort with the fund has enabled us to make arangements with the College for a scholarship to begin in the fall of next year. Our hats are off to Paul Zeller and the Glee Club for their fine performance in Bergen County last spring. Proceeds from the concert went directly to the Scholarship Fund, and are primarily responsible for the immediate success of the program.

With the Big Green team in the midst of an exciting season, we have arranged for a bus trip to the Yale game in New Haven on November 3. Lunch will be served en route - beverages too! This is the golden opportunity to see the Big Green in action.
