Good news from our Membership Committee.... Tom Gustenhoven '47 reports that we have over 140 paid memberships and this represents a new high in alumni interest. For a club that is only in its fourth year, we're proud of the fact that over one-third of the area alumni are actively participating in our programs.
Be sure to set aside the evening of April 6 for the Annual Spring Dance at the Ridgewood Country Club. Last year's dance was well attended and was very enjoyable. Again this year we will offer the additional entertainment of our pandemonium-ridden democratic election procedures, followed by the presentation of the Award of Merit to the alumnus from Bergen County who has demonstrated the highest degree of service and dedication to Dartmouth in the past year. Last year's recipient of the Award, ChuckBruder '28, will be on hand to participate in the presentation.
Our recent "Introduce High School Seniors to Dartmouth" program was met with a high degree of success. Over 80 prospective Dartmouth candidates, representing over 20 towns in the county assembled to hear Chuck Bruder explain some of the undergraduate and graduate programs offered at the College. Howard Pitts '53 of Franklin Lakes represented the College Enrollment Committee. He introduced the speakers and presented a program of color slides that accentuated the indoor, outdoor, social, and academic life on the campus. An informal discussion followed the regular program.
