The Dartmouth Glee Club and the Injunaires were greeted at Detroit's Institute of Arts Auditorium Sunday evening, March 18 by 800 alumni, their families and friends, and fifty prospective Dartmouth students. Profits from the event totaling nearly $1500 were sent to the College Scholarship Fund by Dave Mott '45, who chaired the Glee Club event and Phil Moon '42, who with Bob Grow '33 helped corral a sizable list of patrons.

Current members of the Injunaires were anxious to meet Reed Badgely '51 who wrote their famous ditty, "Boston." Reed spread publicity for the concert in every major area newspaper and had special spot announcements appear on local radio and TV stations. Joe Kabat '58 and Bob Flood '54 headed the ticket committees and a barrage of phone calls from their wives' committee really brought out the troops. Long active alumni like Dick Brown '29 and JackHolmes '45, "who formed the housing committee, agreed the concert effort was one of Detroit's best in years.

Hanny Mason '57 made the arrangements for the concert and Dave Moss '58 handled the student ticket sales, which brought the name of Dartmouth to many area high schools.

After this successful concert the Detroit club is now planning their Annual Meeting and Dance, April 13 under Bill Howenstein's '56 chairmanship.
