1963 ENROLLMENT
NOVEMBER 1963

The total number of undergraduates enrolled this September is down from last fall's 3060 to 3047 with 2986 of that number actually attending classes on campus. The remaining 61 are in foreign study programs or other oil-campus study. However, because of an increase in graduate-level students from 342 in 1962 to 402 (277 full time and 125 part time) the total enrollment is up from '62's 3404 to 3453. The graduate student count includes (after eliminating seniors in the associated school programs) 148 at Tuck School, 138 in the Medical School, 38 at Thayer School, and 82 in other programs of graduate study. Students come from all 50 states, the Virgin Islands, the Canal Zone, Puerto Rico, and 41 foreign countries. New York (578), Massachusetts (316), New Jersey (269), Connecticut (220), and Pennsylvania (195) are leading states in enrollment while Canada (9), Great Britain (7), France and Hong Kong (4 each) have the biggest foreign delegations.
