Remember when the country needed a good five-cent stogie? Pretty soon we'll be able to state that all would be well if we could send a post card for a nickel! Until then, you can transmit news and views on the four-cent variety or live it up with a memo in an envelope posted with a Coke. During the recent yule several injuns took advantage of the 1962 prices to forward data on damsels and lads newly arrived in the fold.

Unusual? Unique? Uncanny? Unbelievable? Utterly! We have ten babes to report ... and only one girl-san in the lot. She was a twin at that, so let's start with the double-header. Charlie and Dodie Abbe became parents of John and Kim, apparently, around October judging by the photos. "Steve Biddie '51 acted as host at the picnic" (i.e., officiated at the delivery). August (?) arrival around the Motor City was Ace, fourth child for A. C. "Dick" and Joy Dickson. The rest of clan includes Chip (9), Bart (6), and Joy (2). December 7 was natal day for Peter Clarke Harned in New York. Jack and Jill Harned probably skipped the Tiger Town to-do since Bob and MaryKilmarx reported this new heir and attendance at the game with Dick and Liz Hollands. Or is that an unwarranted presumption? Greetings from Louisville revealed the birth of Thomas Howard, a son for Warrenand Barb Cox on December 12. Warren teaches at the School of Medicine, University of Louisville. Other offspring are Warren Jr. (11½, Melinda (10), and Charles (6½).
Picture of a wee one implies the arrival recently of a Junior since the card was signed Leslie and Steve Flemer Sr. Another potential class of '84 member is Mai III, son of Malvern and Adrianne Hill. September 29 is the birthdate for Charles Parker Moore. Betty and Jim Moore started their family with a daughter, Melinda, and added a son, Hunter, before the 1962 deduction.
Our editorial license a couple of seasons ago led us to suggest that Izzy and IsabelStahl might name another child "Dizzy" since their first son was Izzy Jr. They decided to take a new tack, however, and number two is Charlie.
"We've just been transferred back to New York and are in the process of fixing up a little Cape Cod house in Darien," write Whitand Pris Williams. "Our family is now expanded to Lynn (5), John (3), and David (1). All are blond, blue-eyed, noisy, and hungry. Saw many at Princeton including Rick Miller, Bill Ferguson, Rog Frechette, Stew Young, Bill West, Dick Echikson, Al Harquail, and Clift Whiteman. End of a fabulous season!"
End of the infant info. Also fabulous.
